The challenge during production
is how not to interfere with the
event itself.

Bay Area musicians Tom and Georgia Montgomery needed a 5- to 10-minute promotional video for their quintet band MonTango. And they wanted the production to occur during one of their concerts. So they contracted WMS to create a program that would best showcase their music, dance, and song of the tango.

The initial thought was for a two-camera shoot, but after conferring with us they agreed that four cameras would better capture the vocalist, five musicians, and dancers. But then the challenge becomes how not to interfere with the event itself. And this was no ordinary gig for MonTango. Set in an intimate theatre, this was a private party for the Bohemian Club.

Thanks to WMS' finesse in staying out of the way, while still getting the job done, the event and the production came off smooth as silk.

And there's a happy epilogue to this story. We saw the potential for MonTango to get much more than just a promo tape. From all the raw footage of that evening, WMS crafted an hour-long program in VHS or DVD. So now at all their performances MonTango also has a tangible product to sell. In addition, WMS enhanced MonTango's website and is now maintaining it.

"WMS has successfully meshed artistry with technical expertise. We consistently receive positive comments about our video. The editing, the camera angles, the sound -- all are top notch. From start to finish, working with WMS was a tremendous experience. They are professional, creative, and very easy to work and communicate with."
